➡ What is Resistance Rhythm?

A series of simple sessions that build community, solidarity and connection, and a consistent practice around resistance.

 

➡ Who is Resistance Rhythm for?

Change makers, warriors, social impact leaders, concerned citizens, allies and would-be allies, folks passionate about justice, equity, love for all peoples and planet, wondering how TF to live and be, and juggle all the things, and make a meaningful contribution, in these days.

Perhaps you’re overflowing with rage or lament, perhaps you’re numb or confused. Perhaps it’s all these feelings, and more!

Together we’re curious how to stay steady, grounded and engaged.

We’re creating an eco-system, come join us.

 

➡ How does Resistance Rhythm work

3 sessions. 1 hour each. Sign up for all 3. Or 1 at a time.

Session 1 is Resistance as JOY. Finding joy right now can feel rebellious. What if that’s the point?

Session 2 is Resistance as REST. What if rest isn’t weakness… but resistance?

Session 3 is Resistance as VOICE. Speaking up isn’t always loud. But silence has a cost.



➡What’s the flow of each session? How will the sessions feel?

The sessions are a collaboration between Sukanya and Katy, see below for more about us.

Each session will follow a gentle rhythm of check in, story telling around our theme, an embodied resistance practice, and a small practical take away you can build into your days.

Come as you are, with no pressure or expectation. We’ll encourage cameras to be on where possible, to build a sense of being seen and heard. You can share as much or as little as you like.

Dates are : Tuesday 19th May, Tuesday 16th June, Tuesday 14th July

Times are: 8pm-9.15pm BST.

All sessions are hosted on Zoom and we’ll send you the links when you book.

Resistance Rhythm is £25 for all 3 Sessions OR you can buy 1 session at a time for £10 per session. All prices +VAT.

Your Resistance Rhythm hosts Sukanya Nallaiah and Katy Murray

Sukanya is the host of Sukany4 – The Podcast, where she walks and talks with guests from all walks of life, spotlighting grassroots, community-focused voices. Through these conversations, and the walk itself, she explores healing, rest, joy, and self-expression. She is hosting Resistance Rhythm to bring people together around conversations that feel both personal and deeply necessary, and to remind us that we can lean on each other. Joy, rest, and voice are things many of us struggle to access, especially in heavy times, and her hope is that this gathering offers a sense of permission, support, and shared humanity.

Katy is a coach, facilitator and host of podcast RESIST: Joy Filled Stories for Dystopian Days, where she explores how we resources ourselves and one another to navigate now, and what our contribution can be during these turbulent days.

Her hope for Resistance Rhythm is to build an ecosystem of solidarity, that as we feel less alone and our individual batteries are topped up, we can stand in our collective power.
